Abstract

Presents a study which described a computer technique for calculating the spatial detector depth sensitivity of diffuse back-scattered light from a multi-layered complex inhomogeneous medium, imitating the human skin. Description of the principles of Monte Carlo algorithm; Difference of the Monte Carlo algorithm from other algorithms; Discussion of the optical parameters of the modeling medium and the results of the simulations; Summary of the results of the model and simulation.
