Abstract

The article discusses a research study on risk for histiocytic sarcoma (HS) of Flat Coated Retriever breed and their clinical presentation and histopathologic-immunohistochemical classification. Reviewed were data on 180 dogs with HS-like tumors for diagnosis related to anaplastic, pleomorphic round or spindle cell sarcoma as well as clinical signs and metastasis evidence. Results showed limb lesions in 101 dogs, visceral lesions in 47 dogs while tumors occurred in the forelimb of 73 dogs and visceral lesion signs include lethargy and inappetence.
