Abstract
- The article presents a study on the roles of parental socio-economic status and family type as factors among school dropouts in Winneba, Ghana. The study shows that a family's household income is a determining factor in a students' access to education. However, it notes that there is no significant relationship between parental social status and school dropout, but suggests that parents should be involved in the school activities of their children.
