Abstract

The article features the plant named heucheras, which are natives of North America. It reports that the plants were first introduced into the gardens by nurseryman Charles Bloom and his son Alan in the 1920s and 1930s. It cites several others who have bred the plants, including Pennsylvania-based Primrose Path nursery's Charles Oliver, Dan Heims of Terra Nova Nurseries and Thierry Delabrove in France.
