The article examines the influence of cement type on the performance of special concretes which are designed by computing techniques. It notes that the fresh properties of the cement were assessed by measuring the fluidity index and the mechanical strength was evaluated using the compressive and three-point bending tests. It concludes that by comparing the properties, the concretes produced with Portland cement displayed better performance and efficiency as compared to calcium aluminate cement.
