Abstract

The structures of 5-nitro-3-thiomorpholino-1 H-indazole, C<subscript>11</subscript>H<subscript>12</subscript>N<subscript>4</subscript>O<subscript>2</subscript>S, (II a), and 3-(4-methylpiperazino)-5-nitro-1 H-indazole-methanol-water (2/1/1), 2C<subscript>12</subscript>H<subscript>15</subscript>N<subscript>5</subscript>O<subscript>2</subscript>·CH<subscript>3</subscript>OH·H<subscript>2</subscript>O, (III a), are described. In the crystal lattice of (II a), the molecules are linked into dimers by N-H⃛N hydrogen bonds. The asymmetric unit of (III a) contains two independent molecules of the indazole moiety, one molecule of methanol and one of water. The three components of (III a) are linked by hydrogen bonds to form double chains running along the x axis. π-Stacking involving the indazole moieties occurs in both compounds.
