Abstract
- The short paper which follows is written from the perspective of a film archivist working in the UK. I joined the National Film Archive at the British Film Institute in 1979 as a film cataloguer before working in documentary acquisitions and eventually holding the post of Keeper of Documentary Film. Since 2000 I have been the director of the regional film archive for the English Midlands which I left the BFI to establish. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
