Abstract

The expanding professional interest in psychosomatic disorders, and in illness related psychopathology, is discussed. A variety of new checklists, constructed from reviews of the medical and psychological literature, are provided. These include: (a) a Psychosomatic Status Checklist, (b) a Children's Psychosomatic Problem Checklist, and (c) several checklists for specific problems such as suicide, multiple sclerosis, accidental poisoning, hemophelia, anorexia nervosa, and child abuse. Implications are drawn as they regard ethics, and future training for clinical child psychologists. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
