Assessing the Psychosomatic Status of Children.

The expanding professional interest in psychosomatic disorders, and in illness related psychopathology, is discussed. A variety of new checklists, constructed from reviews of the medical and psychological literature, are provided. These include: (a) a Psychosomatic Status Checklist, (b) a Children's Psychosomatic Problem Checklist, and (c) several checklists for specific problems such as suicide, multiple sclerosis, accidental poisoning, hemophelia, anorexia nervosa, and child abuse.
