Abstract

The article presents a study which aims to determine whether the cortical sources of eyes-closed resting state electroencephalographic (EEG) rhythms were abnormal in persons with dyslexia. Low-resolution electromagnetic tomography (LORETA) was used to estimate the cortical EEG sources. Results suggests that dyslexia might be due to abnormal physiologic oscillatory mechanisms on cortical networks related on peculiar semantic, phonological, and lessical processes.
