The author discusses aspects of new techniques proposed by the development team of Car of the Future (COTF) fo racing automobiles for Australian racing category V8 Supercars. He explains consequences of the proposed new electronic features including push-to-pass system, and auto-blipping throttle. According to him auto-blipping throttle should not be used in V8 Supercar races, but push-to-pass feature would make races more entertaining by allowing overtakes.
