Abstract
- The article presents a study which determined the distribution of mammals at the Chagai Desert in Balochistan Province of Pakistan, as well as the characteristics of their habitats. The four types of the habitats include gravel plains, sandy plains, and seasonal stream beds. The major plant genera in the area include the Tamarix, Haloxylon, and Zygophyllum. Based on the conducted principal component analysis (PCA), most of the mammalian species in the area had correlated distribution pattern. It claims that the least mammalian population was observed in gravel plains and hilly areas.
