Abstract

The article reports on a study conducted by researchers at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, which reveals the similarity in human induced pluripotent stem (IPS) cells and embryonic stem cells. The study carried the first full measurement of the proteins and RNA and looked at structures on the proteins in both stem cells. Results found that the proteins in both stem cells turned out to be 99% similar, which serve as a critical step in regenerative medicine.
