- The article looks at the 2011 Giller Prize, a Canadian literary award. Topics discussed include the awarding of the Readers' Choice Award to author Myrna Dey for her debut novel "Extensions," the prize selection process, and many voters' inability to read books published in September before the voting deadline of August 2011.
