Abstract
- The article explores the range of art historically inflected activities around women in Australia. It emphasizes that art historical themes around women is attuned to the values of the first wave feminist movement. It stresses that Australian woman artist Violet Teague is responsible for publishing a range of primary sources on women speaking and writing publicly on art. It asserts that the early narrative of women artists is also presented by sculptor Margaret Baskerville.
