Abstract
- The article offers information on the hybrid Lysichiton which was named as swamp lantern by James Armitage and Barry Phillips of Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Garden in Wisley, England. It states that swamp lantern is a hybrid of its parent species, L. americanus and L. camtschatcensis. It says that the parent is distinguishable because of its difference in its leaf development, leaf shape, and petiole. Armitage and Phillips argue that swamp lantern is a better name than skunk cabbage.
