Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 48-year old man, who was admitted with a history of dysphagia, nausea and fever. It mentions that abdominal ultrasound revealed hepatosplenomegaly, while histological examination of the biopsy, showed lymphocytic esophagitis with positive T-cells in the mucosa. Moreover, it notes that aciclovir therapy was started and lasted for two months, then after one month the esophagitis resolved completely.
