Abstract

The article reports on the economic outlook for Indonesia through 2012. It indicates that the willingness of Bank of Indonesia (BI) to dip into its reserve, amounting to 8.6% of total reserves and 1.5% of total gross domestic product (GDP), is a strong positive signs for investors. It expects weakness for the rupiah, with an end-period target of IDR8,900 for both 2011 and 2012.
