Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a study which examined the effectiveness and usefulness of blossom thinning treatments to reduce the fruit set and boost the size of fruits of apples, Ambrosia and Aurora Golden Gala. The study showed that both ammonium thiosulphate (ATS) and Crocker's fish oil and lime sulphur (FOLS) reduced initial fruit set. It concludes that the fruit size of Ambroasia was less responsive to blossom thinning.
