Abstract

The article offers the author's insights on theatrical performances such as Jack and the Beanstalk that rival the Pantomime of Augustus Duriolanus. The author notes that London, England cannot support two pantomime performances and any competitor of Duriolanus must be forced into ruinous and reckless extravagance. The author also suggests to offer the public more fun for their money with less shows, time and expenses.
