Discusses the issues on the relationship between religion and education in 19th century England. Questionable influence of Roman Catholic girls on non-Catholic girls attending convent schools; Changes to the view that convent schools constitute a risk to the health of Protestantism because of additional opportunities for the country's youth to receive a good education.
