Abstract
- An interview with Marshall Marcus, departing head of music of Southbank Centre (SBC), is presented. Marcus describes his new role which involves the development of a partnership between the SBC in London, England and the Venezuelan music education program El Sistema. He notes that he accepted the new job as he believes in the music education program. Marcus states that he respects Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero as well as her critical opinion of the politics of the country.
