Abstract
- The article presents a study which compares global positioning satellite (GPS) radio occultation (RO) retrieved temperature profiles from the Challenging Minisatellite Payload (CHAMP) and FORMOSAT-3/COSMIC with radiosonde data in Australia. It offers information on CHAMP and FORMOSAT which reportedly provides global coverage RO atmospheric profiles. It discusses the study's results which revealed a good agreement between the two data sets.
