Abstract

The article discusses a study on response of energy to warm climate. It mentions the application of the Lorenz Energy Cycle (LEC) for the assessment of changes in global energetic activity which is measured as the total conversion rate of potential energy into kinetic energy and decreases by 4%. It offers analysis on the contributions of transient and stationary eddy components to the response. An overview of its dual response to carbon dioxide is also presented.
