Abstract

The article presents poetry criticism of the poems "Aurora Leigh" by Elizabeth Barrett Browning and "The Prelude" by William Wordsworth. Particular focus is given to the figure of the blind Beggar which features in both texts. Details on the relationship between the two authors are also presented. Other topics include intersubjective relationships, the connection between the body and the self, and the so-called Lake School of poetry.
