Agricultural Extension, Transactions Costs, and Supply Response: Discussion.

The article reports on a paper that investigates the relationship between networks and individual transaction costs. It also use Polish data to empirically estimate the impact of networks on farmers’ transaction costs in both agricultural input and output markets. It states the use of modern inputs by the farmers like fertilizers and pesticides may increase the cost of production along with the revenue.
