Abstract

The article features Boris Ivanovich Kudelin who is described as a prolific scientist, talented educator, and a leading figure in the Russian hydrogeology's history. It mentions that Kudelin was born in Kinel-Cherkasy in the Samara Region in Russia the year 1910, graduated from Moscow Hydrometeorological Institute, and worked at governmental geological agencies as a practicing hydrogeologist. It states that he was a post-graduate student of Laboratory of Hydrogeological Problems of the Academy of Sciences from 1944 to 1947, wherein he prepared a thesis on groundwater discharge into rivers. Moreover, it says that he concluded that groundwater resources evaluation in the active circulation zone may be based on the groundwater discharge's assessment in the rivers.
