Abstract
- The scar in Orientals is more conspicuous than one in Caucasians and thus, repair procedures are different for each group. As the human body is solid, the scar should be repaired using W-plasties and Z-plasties with dermostitches to prevent scar contracture. The size of the flaps shouid be 3-5 mm and the angle of the flaps about 60°. When keloids are a concern, the wound margin should be elevated by dermostitches and elongated by multiple Z-plasties.
