Abstract

The article presents a study which determines trace and heavy metal concentrations in San Andres lagoon in Tamaulipas, Mexico to identify the levels of metal pollution. The study uses a Perkin Elmer 2380 atomic absorption spectrophotometer equipped with HGA-400 graphite furnace to analyze the samples and a correlation of metal concentrations between water and oyster. Results show that metals are enriched in sediments and oysters.
