Abstract

The article presents a study which analyzes the atmospheric concentrations of levoglucosan and its isomers through the proposed High Performance Liquid Chromatography-Electrospray Ionisation-tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS). It offers a comparison of the proposed method with the usually used Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS). The study indicates that the proposed LC-ESI-MS/MS method is applicable and may be used as an alternative to the GCMS technique.
