Abstract
- The article presents a study which proposes a monitoring scheme for atmospheric chemical monitoring using instrumental line shape (ILS) of high-resolution, ground-based Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. The method is applying measurements using different gas cells instead of a single calibration cell with pressure gauge to provide pressure-broadened nitrogen dioxide lines. The study demonstrates that the ILS retrieval using the cell improves sensitivity of the ILS.
