Abstract
- The article discusses conceptual, policy and practical issues relevant to the participation of elders in lifelong learning in Hong Kong, China. It examines the role of government, providers and community agencies in developing policy and practice for elder learning in Hong Kong. It states that with respect to educational attainment, older people generally have a very low level of formal education and there is a wide difference between older and younger populations in terms of formal schooling.
