Abstract
- The large group often reveals what a society has tried to forget. In 2007 the Aotearoa New Zealand Psychotherapy Association took the unusual step of deciding not only to have a large group but also to make it the central experience at their annual conference in Napier. This article reflects on my experience as conductor and focuses on projective processes that brought buried aspects of the colonial history of Aotearoa New Zealand to the surface.
