Abstract

Presents a motor design that efficiently reduces magnetic flux leakage by using a pair of yokes on the rotor magnet. Reason that a small direct current spindle motor with small magnetic flux leakage must be used for a CD-ROM drive application; Magnetic field profile and flux density of a single rotor magnet; Description of a good shielding design for a motor application.
