Abstract

The two-photon spectra of HCl and DCl were studied using the technique of resonantly enhanced multiphoton ionization. Rovibrational bands were observed for the X 1Σ+→V 1Σ+, E 1Σ+, F 1Δ2, d 3Π1, f 3Δ2, and g 3Σ- transitions. The results are compared with the single photon spectra of Ginter, Douglas, and co-workers and with the molecular orbital calculations of Bettendorf et al. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
