Abstract

Mobile device positioning in ad hoc networks is a crucial issue due to the network properties and hardware limitations of particular devices (nodes). In this paper, a new conception of mobile device based on software defined radio architecture for mobile positioning in ad hoc networks is proposed. Six-port technology is implemented into our software defined radio receiver. Angle of arrival localization method as self positioning approach is implemented. The aim of the paper is to present an interaction of specific positioning method with proposed receiver conception. Moreover, we analyze various situation scenarios and their impact on the positioning accuracy, e.g., mutual position of the nodes, radio channel characteristics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
