Abstract

The author discusses the effects of catastrophizing. He states that catastrophizing is a negative cognitive-affective response to pain. He investigated potential mechanism through which catastrophizing asserts its influence over pain-related outcomes. He states that there is a relationship between catastrophizing and pain. He also states that painful stimuli in the central nervous system is due to catastrophizing.
