Abstract: The article presents a study on the comparison of four Earth system models to climate engineering. The study compared the two couteracting forcings I G1 of the GeoMIP to the preindustrial climate. The result of the study shows that the reduction in evaporation compensated the reduction of the meridional temperature gradient in all models compared to the control simulation.
