Abstract
- The article presents information on reformation of the Patent Act in the U.S. to accommodate research in biotechnology and balance innovations with public access of the information. It includes information on the biological roles of genetic sequence and presents the importance patenting in genetic research. It includes information on current state of relationship between biotechnology and the U.S. patent regime, and suggests reforms to accommodate biotechnology innovations.
