Abstract
- The author discusses the engagement of the British government in science and engineering. The author states that scientific advisers in the country have played their duties successfullt but failed to broader their task. He mentions that the position of scientific advisers are meant to address competitiveness by connecting the divide between engineers and scientist and not to set up secure science budgets.
