Abstract
- The article comments on the 2012 British Government's Alcohol Strategy. Topics discussed include the strategy's commitment to introduce a minimum price for alcohol, the possibility that public health will become an objective for the Licensing Act and the other initiatives recognized by the Strategy including bans on multi-buy promotions, the addition of alcohol to the National Health Services (NHS) Health Checks scheme and the recognition of the value of Identification and Brief Advice.
