Abstract

The article discusses the influenza vaccination of pregnant women in the U.S. during the 2011-2012 influenza season. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) have recommended their vaccination. Data showed that vaccination was effective in minimizing the risk for influenza among pregnant women. Some women expressed concern over vaccination's safety risk to their baby.
