GOVERNANCE AND THE ERADICATION OF POVERTY: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE SPECIAL ISSUE.

The article discusses ways of finding multidisciplinary solutions for poverty reduction related to public administration, governance accountability and government policy. Key aspects for poverty are discussed which includes administrative leadership, the implications of informal-formal institutional links in policy and collaboration between government and non-government stakeholders. It suggests that poverty-related policy must specify the targeted population and define its demographic, socio-economic and spatial features.
