Abstract

The article looks at the endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device developed for the treatment of lesions completely endoscopically under EUS control. It is inferred that the device aims to manage tumors localized near to the gastric lumen with no difficulties of gas interposition. The device was tested on living pigs due to their similarity to the human digestive anatomy.
