Abstract
- The article discusses some of the key issues that are crucial for developing a culturally responsive global mental health (GMH) research agenda. Some of the key issues include developing a language of global mental health, the etic-emic balance, identifying stakeholders, tying the goals of research to stakeholders, and evaluation of benefit. The use of bidirectional pathways is the only way to help GMH researchers as well as the communities considered in the study.
