Abstract

Chapter 12 of the book "Postcolonial Readings in Indo-Anglian Literature" is presented. It explores India's revival of nationalistic heroism in the novel "The Sun Behind the Cloud," by Basavaraj Naikar. The chapter examines the transition of the novel's main character, Bhaskararao Bhave, from friend to enemy of the British. The author proposes to India's great heroes need to be re-examined against the distorted accounts of prejudiced historians.
