Abstract
- Systematic archaeological excavations at Capidava (com Topalu, jud. Constanţa) have led to the discovery of a vast early medieval ceramic material, IX to XT-th centuries, made up of different types of objects, and with different purposes: (jars, plates, pots with one or two handles, cups, sties, amphorae, supplies pots, earthen-lamps) most of them in fragments, worked more or less carefully and decorated with various motifs. Regarding the nature of these motifs I have seen that there are several decorative motifs: incision, polishing, painting in red slam, putting golden slam, refief incision and enameled (relief belts, relief rods, animal symbols).
