Abstract

The article presents information on a study conducted to examine the long-term physical and developmental risks to the child that are associated with prenatal exposure to Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). In the study, exposure to SSRIs including citalopram, sertraline, and fluoxetine were considered. The study found that an increased prevalence of reduced gestational age at birth was reported after SSRI exposure.
