Abstract
- The article describes the hurdles in managing healthcare system with paper based documentation and need to implement electronic health records (EHR). It cites that like other organizations, healthcare industry also needs tools for EHR like patient's electronic signature and others. It introduces a scanning system, document management system (DMS), to maintain the version of document and barcodes to track papers, and concludes that EHR is efficient in keeping records.
