Abstract

The article discusses a study on the strength of biogeochemical cycling process which drives chemical disequilibrium in the Earth's atmosphere. It states that in terms of chemical position earth's atmosphere is far from thermochemical equilibrium state. It mentions that the most significant property to quantify is not the distance from equilibrium but the power needed to drive it.
