Abstract: The article presents a study which provides reference publication on the description of the land-surface precipitation data products of the Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC) with applications such as centennial trend analysis. The study employs interpolation of gauge data, gridding method, and Kriging interpolation. It says that sample applications provide potential users of GPCC data products information regarding the constraints and capabilities of the gridded data sets.
